Max Palm

With a mother who is a three-time Scandinavian Big Mountain champion and a father who is a mountain guide recognised by all his peers, Max Palm was born into the world of the mountains. Max is a talented young Swedish freeride skier who is establishing himself as a leading figure in the ski world, particularly in the freeride and backcountry freestyle disciplines. He attracted significant attention when he became the first athlete to complete a double backflip at a Freeride World Tour (FWT) event in 2022. This landmark achievement solidified his reputation as an innovator in freeride skiing. In 2023, he also won the Baqueira Beret Pro competition, once again demonstrating his talent and versatility. As well as competing, Max explore is a great creative, mixing art and aesthetics in his video projects. With his first project, ‘Realis’, Max succeeded in making a ski film telling the story of his journey while mixing poetry and a unique aesthetic. His recent short film GLÖMSKA (which means ‘forgetfulness’ in Swedish) is a visually arresting exploration of skiing and perception, combining innovative tricks with cinematic storytelling. These projects reflect his passion for skiing while pushing the boundaries, not only in the sport, but also in the way he presents it. Max embodies a new generation of skiers who are redefining the possibilities of freeride and freestyle.
