ALPINA DOORMAN CHALLENGE – SEPTEMBER 29TH, 2009
THE FIRST-EVER ALPINA DOORMAN CHALLENGE TOOK PLACE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH FROM 8-11PM AT GREENHOUSE CLUB, NEW YORK.
Greenhouse eco-friendly club
"Greenhouse is the top eco-friendly club and I live in a green certified building too… I recycle my men” and “I’m here with a girl and a guy. If you let us guys in, you can have the girl for free.”
Guests faced New York City’s top doormen who are now gaining celeb status – Matt Oliver (of M2, BED, and Merkato 55 ), Chad Gittens (PM, Butter and Crobar) and Wayne (Upstairs, Plumm and Suede) – with their most creative lines to get through the door into the party for the chance to win an alpina watch. The winning lines included, "Greenhouse is the top eco-friendly club and I live in a green certified building too… I recycle my men” and “I’m here with a girl and a guy. If you let us guys in, you can have the girl for free.”
Inside, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails by Sagatiba, listened to DJ Pazel spin, and were treated to Tealicious’ “make your own” hotdogs while awaiting their chance to shine in line.
Chris and Rachel MacLugage – both ski pro champions and alpina’s newest ambassadors – were in attendance as well.
Selected retailers and press were invited to a special dinner beforehand at hot New York eatery STK before being driven to the Doorman Challenge in the alpina-mobile.
