The Alpina Team attended the Big Air European Cup in Les Arcs

On February 6th in the French ski resort of Les Arcs, Alpina supported the Big Air European Cup - a freestyle skiing competition organised by the Les Arcs Freeski Academy - in which Kaditane Gomis, a member of the Alpina Team, took part.

For this third edition of the Les Arcs Launch Pad - a freeski competition in the Savoyard resort since 2019 - the level of the event has risen to an international level and brought together the best European riders behind closed doors.

The Big Air is the most spectacular discipline in freestyle skiing and consists of a single jump from which the competitors take off to perform the most complex tricks. Traditionally organised over two days, this year's event was exceptionally held on a single day, due to the weather. Five judges then analysed the technical prowess of the 24 participants (8 women and 16 men) on three runs, from the qualifications to the final.

Enak Gavaggio, a member of the Alpina Team and President of the Freeski Academy and an emblematic figure of freeskiing, gave his support to the competitors and did not fail to encourage Kaditane Gomis, a promising young talent who placed 8th in the ranking. Kaditane was also lucky to count on the support and presence of his freerider friend Ugo Troubat, a local child and member of the Freeski Academy, who also joined the "Alpinists" team recently.
