Sybille Blanjean

Sybille Blanjean, sciatrice freeride svizzera, è cresciuta a Verbier, dove ha sviluppato fin da piccola la passione per la montagna, incoraggiata dai genitori. All'età di 12 anni ha preso la decisione decisiva di dedicarsi al freeride, abbandonando l'ambiente più strutturato dello sci alpino tradizionale. Questa decisione coraggiosa ha segnato l'inizio di una carriera straordinaria. Il suo talento e il suo impegno l'hanno catapultata ai vertici mondiali, in particolare con la vittoria all'Xtreme Verbier 2022, la sua prima partecipazione a questo prestigioso evento. Correre a casa, circondata dalle persone più care, è stato per lei un sogno che si è avverato. Nel 2023 ha continuato a stupire, salendo sul podio con un terzo posto a Baqueira Beret e un impressionante secondo posto assoluto nel Freeride World Challenger. Ha vinto di nuovo in Georgia al Freeride World Tour 2024. Oltre a gareggiare, Sybille ha anche prodotto il suo primo progetto video, “Verso”, aprendo le porte a una nuova carriera. Per l'inverno 2025 è in cantiere anche un nuovo progetto girato interamente nella sua città natale, Verbier. Quando non è sulle piste, ama praticare altre attività all'aperto, come il kitesurf, la bicicletta da strada e il trail running. Sybille Blanjean incarna passione, determinazione e versatilità, ispirando molti appassionati di montagna con le sue prestazioni e il suo stile di vita.

Questions for Sybille Blanjean

What motivates you to surpass yourself every day?

What motivates me to excel every day is firstly my passion and love for skiing and the mountains, and then the pleasure of sharing it with my friends. We push each other to be better and better, while having fun and enjoying ourselves.

What is your best sporting memory?

My fondest sporting memory is without a doubt my victory at the Verbier Xtreme in 2022 when I took part for the first time. In front of my family and friends, it was truly magical.

What message would you give to young people who want to follow in your footsteps?

The message I would give to young people is to believe in your dreams and give yourself the means to achieve them, no matter what obstacles get in your way, persevere and always remember why you're doing it!
