STARTIMER PILOT AUTOMATIC: THE LEGENDARY AVIATION HERITAGE

Since 1900 Alpina was a renowned manufacturer and official supplier of military aviation watches to continental air forces. Early aviation pioneers had strict requirements: their instruments had to be extremely precise and provide ultimate shock resistance. In addition, Alpina’s pilot watches were mostly equipped with an anti-magnetic case, highly contrasting dials with oversized luminous numerals and luminous hands for instant readability.

Alpina launched its first Startimer Pilot collection back in 2011 and has quickly become the most successful collection of the Brand and one of the most recognizable professional pilot watches on the market.

On the dial, oversized applied luminous numbers for hour markers alternate with large rectangular luminous indexes purposefully providing the aviation instrument feel. For these two new models in rose gold-plated steel, the dial is available in Navy blue or grey. The red triangle, which is Alpina’s signature, sits prominently at the top marking the sixty/zero minutes position.
