ALPINA x THE REAL TIME SHOW
A Special Edition Designed for

Performance and Community

The Alpina × TRTS Seastrong Diver Extreme Automatic Special Edition is a limited production watch and the result of a collaborative effort between Alpina and the passionate hosts of The Real Time Show podcast, Alon Ben Joseph and Rob Nudds.

This very special edition breaks with the conventions of the Seastrong collection, focusing on flawless legibility while combining the characteristics of a modern utility watch with an elegant dial finish that pays tribute to Alpina's heritage since 1883. In short, a new Seastrong that is stronger than ever!

THE REAL TIME SHOW DESIGN:

Contrast, Clarity, Character

The collaboration focused on a new dial, new colours and new hour markers. It prioritises excellent legibility.

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to apply the TRTS treatment to this watch, focusing as ever on edgy, readable displays with strong contrast and that signature flash of colour.

Dial Innovation:

Charcoal Smoke

The charcoal smoke dial is the backdrop for this edition. It features a finely grained surface under a layer of glossy lacquer.

Signature Contrast: A bright orange second hand stands out clearly, providing that signature flash of colour.
• Optimised Readability: The flange has been removed, enlarging the dial opening and allowing for larger hour indices, as well as an integrated minute track for better readability to the second.
• Refined Details: The Alpina logo at 12 o'clock has been redesigned. The logo and the word ‘Automatic’ are in glossy black, blending in at certain angles to enhance the contrast of the orange seconds hand and the pure white lume, specially developed by Alpina.
• Hand detail: The luminous counterweight of the seconds hand remains black to focus attention on the elongated tip, which stands out against the changing texture of the dial.

Redesigned case

& ergonomics

The watch is presented on a black rubber strap, matching the robust, nautical appearance of the model.

Thanks to its "sandwich" construction, the top layer of the dial presents appertures on a polar white luminova sub-layer.

The Seastrong's newly redesigned proportions give the watch a discreet and compact wearing experience, suitable for most wrist sizes.

Alon Ben Joseph
(Co-designer
The Real Time Show)

"We wanted to make a watch that stays true to the Alpina and The Real Time Show brand image, but is different enough from what has been done before so that our community has something new to love. I'm really happy with the result and can't wait to see it on the wrists of many members of our community at our upcoming meet-ups in Amsterdam, London, or even further afield."

Oliver van Lanschot Hubrecht
(Director of Alpina)

"I am delighted to share the watch with our communities, and amazed at how it looks like a new interpretation of the Seastrong Extreme design. TRTS has been exceptionally special in the way Alon and Rob collaborate with their different backgrounds. I am truly impressed and inspired by the content and engagement with the TRTS community. This should be a winning collaboration on all levels!"

Rob Nudds
(Co-designer
The Real Time Show)

"The premise of the show is simple: we only work with brands we love, and we adore Alpina. Personally, my favourite line has always been the Seastrong because I prefer robust tool or diving watches that can withstand the outdoor activities I enjoy."
