The Retro Adventure of 1965

Alpina is faithfully re-issuing its Tropic-Proof from the 1960s, a robust adventurer's watch designed by François Borgel. Available in black or white (34 mm), it retains its steel case, dauphine hands and Swiss Made manual movement. The original Tropic-Proof, with its power reserve and legibility, has left its mark on the history of Alpina.

An Exploration Watch for a New World

Born after the Second World War, the Tropic-Proof was a response to the desire for exploration. Robust and reliable in tropical climates, with its "FB" case and Swiss calibre, it was ideal for adventurers. It already embodied the Alpina DNA.

From Iconic Case to Manual Movement

The re-edition of the Alpina Heritage Tropic-Proof respects the 1965 model: 34 mm steel case, ‘glassbox’ sapphire crystal, black and white dials, dauphine hands and specific hour-markers. Powered by the AL-480 manual calibre (42-hour power reserve), it pays tribute to the historic solid caseback and is worn on a beige alcantara strap, perpetuating the spirit of adventure.
