ALPINA GENÈVE, THE SWISS MANUFACTURE FAMOUS FOR ITS SPORTY WATCHES WITH EXTREME DESIGNS, IS RENEWING ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE 2009-2010 ANDROS TROPHY AS ITS “OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER”.

7 challenges

The Andros Trophy is a legendary event and unique ice-racing concept that offers a masterly blend of competition, entertainment and conviviality. Today, it is considered as one of the leading disciplines in international motor racing. Created in 1990 by Max Mamers, a former professional driver, the 2010 edition will be divided into 7 challenges planned for December 2009 and January 2010 on 7 different ice circuits.

4 different categories
This year, the Andros trophy will put 4 different categories to the test: The “Silhouettes” category, considered as the Formula One of ice-racing with renowned drivers such as Alain Prost and Olivier Panis, the “Sprint Cars” category, in which young talented drivers from the new Andros Academy hope to secure a place amongst the best drivers for next winter, the amazing “Trophée Andros Électrique” (“Electric Andros Trophy”) cars category and, finally, the “Pilot Bikes” category, which showcases true tightrope-walkers on ice.

Each category winner will receive an alpina Extreme Automatic watch after the Grand Final, which will take place on 30 January 2010 on the Clermont/Super Besse circuit.

alpina Genève is thrilled to be participating in the 2009-2010 edition, which promises to be as highly eventful and as rich in sportsmanship as ever.

MAY THE BEST PILOT WIN!!
