New York, NY (April 27, 2017) – On Wednesday, April 19th, Alpina partnered with Men’s Journal to commemorate 25 years of groundbreaking exploration, innovation and achievement at a celebration of the Men’s Journal 25 Most Adventurous Men.

Alpina and Men’s Journal came together to highlight some of the most dangerous exhibitions and the thrill-seeking adventurers who continually risk their lives to tell the stories that few can tell. Naturally Alpina, a timepiece brand fueled with a genuine history of sport watchmaking, utilized this collaboration to highlight their admiration of these dedicated explorers.

Alpina welcomed their own Global Brand Ambassador, Michael Goulian, one of North America’s most decorated aerobatic pilots and recognized aviation professionals for the evening. Known greatly for his participation in the Red Bull Air Race, Goulian is one of only seven air show professionals to receive all three of the air show industries’ most prestigious awards.

The evening highlighted 2 of the 25 Most Adventurous Men, Polar Explorer, Eric Larsen and adventurer Eric Weihenmayer. The two shared their stories of the extreme excursions and the passion that keeps them seeking more. Aside from the night’s speakers, the 25 recognized adventure men included Jimmy Chin, Richard Branson, Ben Stookesbury, Conrad Anker, Alex Lowe, Alex Honnold, Dean Potter, Shane McConkey, Colin Angus, Laird Hamilton, Sebastian Copeland, Felix Baumgartner, Mike Horn, Mike Libecki, Jeremy Jones, Cory Richards, Werner Herzog, Doug Tompkins, J. Michael Fay, Siddartha Gurung, Tim Hetherington, Jared Diamond and Bruno Hansen.
