Guillaume Pierrel

Gee Pierrel is a passionate mountaineer whose life is intimately linked to skiing. Originally from the Vosges, he put on his first skis at the age of 2 and climbed his first mountains in the Swiss Alps at the age of 4. After getting his first taste of Nordic ski racing (French team vice-champion in 1997), he turned to freestyle and ski teaching. After becoming a mountain guide in Chamonix, he explored the world's mountains, including solo ski expeditions in Bolivia and Peru. He has also pushed his limits in ultra-trail races (Sky Running on Lenin Peak, Diagonale des Fous, UTMB). In 2021, Pakistan became his new playground, with the opening of Gasherbrum II and the making of a tribute film. In 2022, he will complete the legendary descent of the Linceul at the Grandes Jorasses, in 2023 he willundertake expeditions to Alaska and Nepal, and in 2024 he will ski the Niche des Drus solo. Guillaume is a specialist in steep skiing and camera-in-hand exploration, inspired by those who dare to go off the beaten track. His second film, ‘La Madone’, will be released in March 2025 and he recently skied new lines on Mount Cook Aoraki in New Zealand as part of a new two-year project. In February 2025, he flew to British Columbia in Canada to pursue his new film project, code-named ‘The Crawl’.
