RÉMY COSTE WINS LA GRANDE ODYSSÉE SAVOIE MONT BLANC 2019 AND A LIMITED-EDITION ALPINERX WATCH

Connected through its Alpine origins, Swiss watchmaking manufacture Alpina is pleased to offer to the winner of the 15th edition of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc, Rémy Coste the number one AlpinerX watch, launched in a limited series of 25 pieces in the world. A great tribute to these 12-days competition where 55 mushers coming from all over the world challenged themselves from January 12th to 23rd on a 700km path in the massifs of the French Alps.

Originally from Megève, this ex-baker converted to mushing in 2008 becomes champion of la Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc for the third time (2016, 2018, 2019).
Yohan Bizy, Alpina France Managing director has awarded the first watch of the AlpinerX, edited with its exclusive combination of colours, evoking the spectacular views of the icy massifs presented in an elegant wooden box featuring an engraved “La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc 15th Edition”.

It has been an honor for Alpina to be the official timekeeper of such a prestigious sled dog race, a true “snow marathon” involving commitment, technical skills, perseverance and respect for nature, evoking the alpinist values of the watch brand

THE WINNER’S AWARD: A LIMITED EDITION OF THE ALPINERX

Presented in an elegant wooden box featuring an engraved “La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc 15th Edition” plaque, this limited-edition AlpinerX stands out with its exclusive combination of colours, evoking the spectacular views of the icy massifs.
Athletic in its 45 mm diameter, the blue fiberglass case (for lightweight comfort), with its engraved steel case back, reveals a classic analogue dial, encircled by a blue 360° rotating compass bezel. Protected by a sapphire crystal, the grey face is paired with impressive luminescent white indexes. While indicating the hours and minutes, the turquoise hands (also luminescent) can spread apart onto the upper portion of the dial, if necessary, to reveal the information that appears when the digital screen is activated.
Water resistant to 100 meters and shock resistant, this sporty watchmaking masterpiece is finished with a dark blue rubber strap, for the perfect consummation of its adventurous spirit. Snow-loving thrill seekers will adore it…
