Juliette Willmann

Juliette Willmann is a French athlete specialising in freeride skiing and mountain biking. Originally from the Southern Alps but now based in Chamonix, she had a career in downhill skiing before turning to freeride, a discipline she loves for its freedom of expression in the mountains. She took part in the Freeride World Tour, where she finished on the podium several times, finishing fourth overall in 2021. Since 2022, Juliette decided to leave competition to concentrate on high-altitude exploration projects and film-making, such as ‘Rise’, which explores her transition from the competition circuit to mountaineering. The film highlights her apprenticeship in the demanding and majestic environments of the high mountains, such as the peaks around Chamonix. In summer, she also practices Enduro mountain biking, which she compares to a summer version of freeride, and acts as a mountain bike instructor-guide.
