Thibault Magnin

Thibault Magnin, born on 2 September 2000, is a professional skier with dual Swiss and Spanish nationality. Although he was born and raised in Switzerland, he represents Spain in international competitions. Specialising in slopestyle and big air, he took part in the Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022. In 2024, Thibault received a wildcard to take part in the Freeride World Tour (FWT), marking his transition to freeride after a successful freestyle career. Then, in 2025, Thibault decided to return to his favourite discipline and re-aligned himself on the Freestyle World Cup Circuit with the aim of shining at the Cortina Olympic Games in 2026.
As well as skiing, Thibault is passionate about surfing and kitesurfing, disciplines he practises intensively during the summer. Thibault Magnin embodies a new generation of talented and versatile athletes, excelling in both freestyle and freeride, while establishing himself as an inspirational figure in the world of skiing.

What motivates you every day to surpass yourself?

The opportunity to live my life to the fullest and become the best version of myself, as a person, a human & an athlete, and with that inspire the world with what I do and who I am.


What is your best sporting memory?

I would say the opening ceremony of the 2022 Olympics was a really special moment for me.


What message would you give to young people who want to follow in your footsteps?

Just be you, follow your heart and believe in your dreams! And whatever people think different of you, it's your strength, use it!


If you had to keep just 4 of the brand's products, which would you choose?

My favourite is the ALPINER Extreme Quartz, and then the ALPINER Extreme Automatic / Extreme Skeleton Automatic and finally the SEASTRONG.
