Enak Gavaggio

Enak Gavaggio ist ein bekannter
französischer alpiner Skifahrer, der durch seine Erfolge in verschiedenen
Disziplinen wie Ski-Cross, Freeride und Snowboarding Wintersportgeschichte
geschrieben hat. Mit sieben Medaillen bei den X-Games, fünf Siegen im Ski-Cross-Weltcup
und mehreren Podiumsplätzen bei Weltmeisterschaften kann er auf eine
außergewöhnliche Erfolgsbilanz verweisen. Seine Teilnahme an den Olympischen
Spielen 2010 in Vancouver markierte das Ende seiner Wettkampfkarriere auf
höchstem Niveau. Seit 2014 hat er durch seine humorvolle Figur „Rancho“ in
einer gleichnamigen Webserie an Popularität gewonnen. Durch diese Serie
erkundet Enak die Welt des Ski- und Boardsports mit einem Hauch von Nostalgie
und einer guten Portion Leichtigkeit und zieht damit ein leidenschaftliches und
vielfältiges Publikum in seinen Bann. Gleichzeitig spielt Enak eine wichtige
Rolle bei der Ausbildung junger Talente. Als Präsident der Freeski Academy in
Les Arcs teilt er seine Erfahrung und sein Know-how mit der neuen Generation
von Skifahrern und trägt so aktiv zur Entwicklung zukünftiger Champions bei.
Als Botschafter der Uhrenmarke Alpina Watches seit 2019 verkörpert er die Werte
von Exzellenz und Innovation. Enak Gavaggio engagiert sich auch als
Schlüsselfigur bei großen Sportveranstaltungen rund um den Wintersport und
setzt seine Expertise und seinen Bekanntheitsgrad für die Förderung dieser
Disziplinen ein. Mit seiner ansteckenden Energie und seinem Engagement auf
allen Ebenen bleibt Enak Gavaggio eine feste Größe im Bergsport und ein echter

Questions for Enak Gavaggio

What motivates you every day to surpass yourself?

I like curiosity, I like discovering, I like adventure, and I think I like rediscovering myself every time I'm faced with a situation that I don't know, that's unknown to me. That feeling of being in control fascinates me and pushes me to surpass myself, I think.

What is your best sporting memory?

The worst and the best, my games in Vancouver, the most beautiful sporting moment of my career but the saddest at the same time. Black and white. Honestly, I don't really have any. I'm very keen not to rank or compare, so my fondest sporting memory would by deduction be the last one, but that will be less fascinating than the next one.

What message would you give to young people who want to follow in your footsteps?

Go your own way, draw inspiration from all the people around you, not just from the sporting world, and above all don't copy or reproduce, make your own mark, your own and then wherever it takes you, it will be yours.

If you had to keep just 4 of the brand's products, which would you choose?

This is the most complicated question, so as I don't want to choose, because I don't like to compare or rank, the best one is the one I have on my wrist today, the ALPINER EXTREME AUTOMATIC GREEN.
